Gary & Connie H. Ron & Iris S.

The meeting was called to order at 4:04pm by the club’s exiting President, Jess G. After welcoming everyone Jess passed on the President’s gavel and notebook to the new club President, George S. Jess thanked Carol M. for all her hard work as Treasurer over the past few years.
George began by reminding the members that in planning future club trips, often a booking must be made one year in advance to secure a reservation for the club, like Flying Flags. George advised the members of recent Zoom meetings held between Carol, Ron, Jess & himself where they explored possible future club trips, each of them volunteered to look into certain sites and then report their findings.
George advised the group that he tried to book Morro Bay for October 2022 but was unsuccessful. He then tried Pismo Coast Village for October 2022 and succeeded. Details to follow.
George then proceeded to list trips now in place for 2022 and asked for wagon masters where needed.
January 7 & 8, 2022: Golden Village Palms Resort in Hemet, Scott & Elaine F. wagon masters. This is a huge & beautiful RV Park. You must book your own reservations for this trip and now is the time to do so. Tell them you’re with the Weakenders’ so we can be placed together. George mentioned that the resort has a restriction of rigs being no older than 10 years old. He also suggested those interested go online and check it out.
February 4 & 5: Tapo Canyon in Simi Valley, Jess & Martine G. wagon masters.
Carol advised the members that when planning trips an attempt was made to stager travel distance, if a trip was a long distance to get to one month, then the next trip should be a shorter travel distance.
Jim B. questioned what the financial responsibilities of the wagon master are. George gave the example of Flying Flags as common practice when reserving a campout. The wagon master contacts the campground/resort, reserves dates and sites and confirms the cost for the trip. The wagon master then calls the Treasurer and requests the deposit or whatever amount is required by the campground/resort. The Treasurer then sends a check to the wagon master, who will then forward payment to the campground/resort.
March, date TBD: Lake Casitas, Stan & Una Mc. wagon masters. George said Bass section has electricity and water but no dump at camp site, dump is located elsewhere in campground.
April 3,4,5 & 6: Pechanga RV Resort in Temecula, George & Vicki S. wagon masters. If you’re interested in attending you must book this trip on your own, then advise George of your camp site location.
April 29, 30: Paso Robles RV Resort, Rex & Flora wagon masters.

Treasurer’s Report. Ron said the checking account balance is $1823.90. Comments were made by George & Carol about how the additional charge of $10 per rig per trip has improved the club’s coffers.
There was a short discussion about when the club’s dues should be paid by its members. It was suggested that we adopt January as the due date and not mid-year. Stan moved to have club dues date changed from June to January of each year. Gary H. seconded the motion, all members voted in favor of this action.
Meeting adjourned at 5:02pm
Sincerely,
Martine G., Secretary
