The meeting was called to order by V.P. Tom H, sitting in for Pres. George B.
Welcome to everyone, and especially the new members and guest. Everyone introduced themselves to the new members.
Those attending the meeting: Sue and Dal (wagon masters), Karen and Tom, VIcki and George, Una and Stan, Helene and Ben, Connie and Gary, Rex and Flora, Lex and Celia, Elaine and Scott, Linda, Martine and Jess, and Marlyn, our guest for dinner and the evening.
Good get-well wishes to Iris, who is recovering nicely, George B, doing great after surgery, and Bill, after his surgery.
Minutes of June meeting were approved, upon motion by Stan. It was noted the minutes had yet to be posted.
Treasurer's report by George S: $7777.79 balance, much of which is to pay for next several campouts.
Camping plans:
Sep. 11-13, Pt Mugu: Todd has sent the participant list that will be given to the base for access.
Oct. 9-11, Newport Dunes: Still have a few openings. Remember, extra days are self-paid; when you call Newport Dunes to reserve them, remember to say you are with Weakenders so they can arrange for you to stay in same site if possible.
Nov. 13-15, Flying Flags. There are openings.
Jan: to be determined. Perhaps going to Ocean Mesa; they should announce their winter deal this month.
Feb. 25-27, Ventura Ranch KOA Santa Paula.
March: open for discussion. Possibly Lake Casitas.
Apr. 8-10, Pechanga Temecula.
May: Tehachapi was proposed and discussed, no clubhouse
June: Camp Comfort was proposed.
July-Aug: Pismo Sands.
Wine Country RV Resort Paso Robles was proposed and discussed. It was considered a good possibility for Spring, and too hot for Summer.
