The meeting was called to order by President, Flora L at 6:55 pm.
Old Business:
The meeting minutes from our last campout at Pechenga were approved.
New Business:
Jim B recognized and thanked Rex and Flora L as wagon masters for this trip.
Iris S asked the question, does everyone receive the most recent upcoming campout flyer eamil with all the information on it (dates, those attending and meal assignment, etc.) or, is the flyer sent only to those scheduled to attend the upcoming campout? Our Treasurer, Carol M was not in attendance to answer the question. Some felt that the flyer was emailed only to those scheduled to attend the upcoming campout they've signed up for. It was brought up that Carol sends out the Campout Status at least once a month which lays out all campout information for most if not all of a year. Iris suggested that the most recent campout flyer should be emailed to everyone. There may have been others interested in attending the Paso Robles campout but did not receive the information flyer email. George S will talk to Carol about this and recommend that everyone receive the most recent campout flyer email.
The question was asked if anyone has seen Cava, the new RV park in Paso Robles? Jim B said yes, it's very nice. Dal J said that it's beautiful. Many people aslo commented that they liked our current location, Paso Robles RV Ranch.
George reminded everyone that we need to reserve Pachanga in Temecula for next year (April 17 & 18, 2020 in area C) on our own. They are no longer taking group reservations there. Also, for those who were not at Pechanga last month it was voted that we return to Paso Robles RV Ranch the first weekend in May 2020 (May 1 & 2, 2020). There will only be two weeks between campouts at that time next year.
George announced that the Big Bear campout at Snowberry Loop in September is booked up (September 12 & 14, 2019). If you did not advise Carol that you were interested in going, you will need to book this campout on your own.
Flora announced there is a need for Wagon Masters beginning in December of this year and beyond. Please volunteer!
Linda N suggested a place to keep in mind for a possible future group campout, Foster Residents Park in Ojai, off the 33, not to be confused with Foster Park Red Mountain, not the same. The campground has 8 - 10 full hookup sites. It would be a very nice place to consider in the Spring. Cost is $77. for 2 nights, full hookups. Another consideraton is Kenny Grove in Filmore. Linda said it's website is back on and now managed by County of Ventura, no longer previous management. Linda will keep an eye on and watch the improvements there.
Flora announced that breakfast would be at 9 tomorrow morning.
Meeting adjourned at 8:20 pm.
