Old business: There was none.
Treasurer's report: Carol M. Our treasurer, reported that after payments for Pechanga and Paso Robles, the balance in the club's account is approximately $4,500 and that we were in good shape.
New business: Carol M. reported that there is one opening left for Paso Robles in May 18th - 20th.
If you are interested in attending please let Carol know by this Friday, 4/27.
Regarding Camp Comfort in June: There two members that have said they are attending but have not yet paid. There is one site still open and available. Please let Carol know if you are attending and please send your payment to her a.s.a.p. This event does not have a Wagon Master and one is needed. Please help if you're able to do so.
July is dark.
Regarding Pacific Dunes Ranch, Pismo Beach in August: We have reserved ten sites but only three members have signed up. Please let Carol know a.s.a.p. if you will attend, otherwise Carol must cancel our reservations.
Carol mentioned that Wagon Masters are very much needed for the months of June, August, September and beyond. Please help.
George S announced that anyone who brought a dog this weekend needs to pay Carol M $5 for each dog per stay, not per night. Pechanga has billed the Weakenders, not the individuals, so payment is due to Carol M.
Gary H asked if Wagon Masters were needed for Golden Shores in October, he and Connie wanted to volunteer.
Carol/George advised that Les & Celia H were in place as Wagon Masters there in October.
Connie & Gary H then volunteered for August at Pacific Dunes Ranch.
George S reminded everyone to wear their Hawaiian shirts/dresses at dinner. He then announced that things have changed at Pechanga regarding how they handle reservations. They now only allow one club per week for group camp outs. If anyone is interested in attending next year with the group, the weekend of April 12, 2019, you must call Pechanga directly and make your own reservations and to do so within the next week.
Pechanga will temporarily hold open section C for our group, but we must make our reservations individually. Once you have done this, please contact Carol M to advise her you will attend, the length of stay, and site number. George said that when you call, mention you are with the Weakenders and try to reserve towards the middle and back of section C, away from the swimming pool. George reminded everyone to use the 15% discount coupon he handed out at this outing (orange paper) or Good Sam or AAA for 10% discount or Passport America.
Ben M announced that there is a recall on certain Goodyear RV tires for possible defects, many are failing. George S mentioned that Motor Home Magazine and FMCA Magazine (Family Motor Coach Association) are helpful by listing many recalls. Also, FMCA offers road side assistance for a $50 annual membership fee. This is similar to Good Sam, and there are other member benefits like discount on Michelin tires etc. Sue O and Penny W mentioned they are also members of FMCA.
Meeting concluded at 4:45 p.m.
