WEAKENDERS RV CAMPING CLUB MEETING
February 7, 2015
Ventura Ranch KOA
Campout at Ventura Ranch KOA Santa Paula, California, Feb. 6-8, 2015
President George B opened the meeting at 3:15. Welcome to our newer members, Connie and Gary, and Cecelia and Les.
Other members attending are: Ben and Helene. George and Margaret, Tom and Karen, George and Vicki, Violet, Bill and Diane, Rex and Flora, David and Lynne, Dal and Sue.
1. Approval of published minutes for January, 2015
2. Treasurer: now have $6,700 in the account, and some of that is for paying for the next several camp outs.
3. Dates:
- Lake Casitas, 3/3-3/8, 2015. Mike and Mary are wagon masters. One site left, so if you want it, contact George S.
- Pechanga 4/10-4/12, 2015. We have all 10 sites filled. Since we have 10 sites filled, we get the group discount so there will be a small refund to those members attending Pechanga.
- Valencia Travel Village: 5/1-5/3, 2015. There are still openings to attend this outing.
- Camp Comfort: 6/12-6/14, 2015.
- Pismo Sands: 7/31-8/2, 2015. Each person needs to call the campground to make their own reservations. They will put you as close as they can to the group.
- Pt, Mugu: Sept. no date set. This will be on the Navy base and arrangements are not confirmed yet.
- Newport Dunes: 10/9-10/11. 2015. If we get 10 commitments, the price will be $42.00 per site. If we don’t have enough going, we may cancel because the individual rate is much higher. There are no refunds, and no clubhouse. Must commit by June.
4. There was a discussion about what happens when couples pay their money and then decide they cannot attend the camp out. Are they responsible for a replacement, or do they get refunds, or does it depend on the situation. No definite action was decided at this time.
5: Old Business: When you are wagon master and sending flyers, please put the address of the camp ground and any hints about how to get there and find it. Our newer members are not familiar with our outings and where they are yet.
6. New Business: George B will have business cards made up to pass out to potential members. The club will reimburse him. Margaret now has 35 books published. Congratulations to Margaret.
Meeting adjourned at 3:45
