Weekenders’ Meeting Minutes: May 21, 2020 via Zoom, The Very First One

The meeting was called to order at 7:12pm by Jess G., Club President. Jess reviewed the last meeting minutes from February 16th at Tapo Canyon, Simi Valley and they were approved by all.
Old Business, there were none.
New Business: Carol M. updated members on the next campout, Morro Bay. She did receive confirmation that the campground is opening on 6/1 one day before we arrive but with restrictions. Gatherings of 10 or more people is not allowed, exercise 6’ social distancing, the bathrooms and clubhouse will be closed. Because of the current climate we will not be having communal meals, everyone is on their own. As a side note, masks were not mentioned. It would be a good idea to bring a mask for each person until we are advised differently by Governor Newsom. Jess announced that due to a recent operation he & Martine will not be able to attend the Morro Bay campout.

August 21 & 22 – Ventura Ranch KOA. Wagonmasters - Tom & Karen H.
September – Carol announced that due to a mix up in the dates the club will not be going to Big Bear. She will investigate Paso Robles RV Ranch Campground and get back to the members about this. Rex & Flora L. volunteered to be Wagonmasters for this outing.
October 16 & 17 – Golden Shore, Long Beach. Wagonmaster needed.
November 6 & 7 – Flying Flags, Buellton. Wagonmasters – Jim & Jan B.
December – Dark
January? 2021 – Canyon RV, Anaheim. Wagonmaster needed.
February? – Tapo Canyon, Simi Valley, Wagonmaster needed.
March? – Bakersfield RV Resort. Wagonmaster needed.
Carol reminded the members that her term as treasurer will be coming to an end at the end of this year and she will need a successor. She volunteered to book reservations into early 2021.
Carol announced that currently the club’s bank account balance is at $6,091 but there are many credits ($2,130) outstanding to members due to all the recent cancellations. Adjusted balance is $3,961. She reminded the members that the bank account balance should not fall below $3,000 because of all the deposits that need to be made far in advance to hold future reservations.
Martine G. asked if it was June when the club dues are due? Carol answered yes, $35.
Celia H. asked if credit on account could be used towards dues? Carol answered yes.
Stan Mc asked if we will not be allowed to all sit and meet at campout. Carol answered not large group. Small gatherings should be okay if social distancing.
Tom said that Governor Cooper in North Carolina is expanding groups from 10 to 25 tomorrow. We here in California are still at no more that 10 in a gathering, spread apart.
Tom volunteered he and Karen to be wagonmasters for August at Ventura Ranch KOA.
