Old Business:
The meeting minutes from our last campout at Paso Robles RV Ranch were approved as
posted by Rex L and seconded by Carol M.
New Business:
Flora thanked Neal and LeAnne S as Wagon Masters for this trip
Carol M told the group the planned Campout at Serrano Campground, Snowberry Loop, Big
Bear September 13 & 14 is full. She will be sending out confirmations to all campers she
has registered. Please respond back ASAP to verify her information is accurate. If you have
not yet paid for this campout, the money is due by July 10th.
Carol M told the group that the treasury is dwindling and is now down to less than $1500.
She said the campgrounds are demanding more upfront money, therefore, the treasury
needs to be fortified so she can continue to make reservations. She suggested raising the
dues which are due in July from $30 to $35. A vote could not be taken as a Quorum was not
present. Carol M will email each member with the motion to raise the dues and ask for an
email vote/response.
After some discussion, Jim B. proposed that another source of revenue to keep the treasury
from depleting so quickly would be to assess each person attending the Saturday Evening
Meal a fee of $5.00 to help cover expenses for food and supplies. The Wagon Master would
not be assessed this fee. Carol M will email each member with the motion to
assess a $5.00 per member/guest dinner fee and ask for an email vote/response.
Carol M asked that Reservations be made and paid for 60 days before the Campout and if
you wish to cancel a reservation this must also be done 60 days prior to Campout. This is
necessary to help with meeting the cancellation requirements of the Park. It was proposed
campout payment will be required to be paid 60 days prior to the campout. If you decide
you want to go after the deadline, you may still go if there is space, but there will be a 10%
additional cost to the reservation. Carol M will email each member with the motion to
assess a 60 days full payment or cancellation rule and the 10% increase in campout fee if
you book after the 60 day time frame. She will ask for an email vote/response.
Carol M discussed the difficulty she is having in trying to meet everyone’s request for a
specific location of their RV site at the Campout. Most Parks assign sites by length of the rig
so it was suggested by Renee A. that Carol let the Park make the assignments from now on.
Individual requests will not be honored. This will be in effect at the next campout.
Carol M will be sending out a copy of the Master Weakenders Roster for updates. Please
review and get back to her ASAP with any updates/changes.
Also, she asked that if anyone sees a mistake on any of her paperwork at any time, to please
notify her immediately so she can correct it.
LeAnne S thanked everyone including their guests Paul and Joanna B for
contributing/helping with this campout. Paul and Joanna were also thanked for the great
boat ride on Friday night.
LeAnne announced that there would be a “Cornhole Game” and Campfire at their campsite
after the meeting and that Breakfast would be at 9:00 tomorrow morning.
Carol announced that Paul & Joanne B. had joined the club.
