Old Business: Todd A. moved to approve the minutes from the previous campout in October at Golden Shores, Long Beach, Gary H. seconded.
New Business: Renee A. suggested dropping appetizers at the meeting we have before our dinner. A vote was taken, and the majority of the members present agreed but after some discussion it was agreed to leave it to the discretion of the hosting Wagon Master. If the hosting Wagon Master wishes to have appetizers at the meeting prior to Saturday night’s dinner, that should be stated in their flyer to members before the campout.
Flora L. announced that after two years of serving as the club’s president, it was now time for a new president to be elected and for her to step down. Todd A. nominated Jess G. as President, and Jess G. nominated Jim B. as Vice President.
Election results:
Jess G. President
Jim B. Vice President
Carol M. volunteered to continue as Treasurer for one more year
Todd A. volunteered as Second Treasurer
George S. volunteered as Third Treasurer
Martine G. volunteered as Secretary for one more year.
There was a round of applause for and thanks given to Flora L. for her time served as President, and for the newly elected for volunteering to serve.
Renee A. volunteered to serve as Secretary in the absence of Martine G. In the absence of both Martine G. and Renee A. it will be the responsibility of the Wagon Master to take the minutes of the campout meeting and forward them to Martine G.
Elaine F. announced she needs RSVP asap for those interested in the 75-minute tour of the Mission Inn on Saturday December 7th, during our next campout at Rancho Jurupa in Riverside. Cost is $20 before 3 pm and $25 after 3 pm. This tour will be prior to dinner on Saturday night. Following the tour, return to camp for club meeting and dinner. Following dinner, those interested will go to the Mission Inn to view the lights from the street.
Carol M. advised members of future campouts:
December 6 & 7: New camping location, Rancho Jurupa Park, Cottonwood Campsite, Riverside.
January 10 & 11, 2020: Canyon RV, Anaheim. Only 2 rigs have committed to going. Carol needs to know now if anyone else wants to go or she will have to cancel this reservation.
February 14 & 15: Because this slot has remained open and because of the time of year and possibility of bad weather, Carol reserved Tapo Canyon RV Park in Simi Valley.
March 20 & 21: Bakersfield RV Resort, Bakersfield. Elaine mentioned another possibility for future date in Bakersfield is Orange Grove RV Park. It’s in an orange grove area, cute and reasonable.
April 17 & 18: Pechanga RV Resort, Temecula. We’ll be camping in areas C & D. Reservations are made on your own.
May 1 & 2: Paso Robles RV Ranch & Campground, Paso Robles.
June 2, 3 & 4: New camping location, Morrow Bay Dunes RV Park, Morrow Bay. This campout is a minimum 3 day stay and mid-week, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Vicki asked if there were any other future trips planned for mid-week campouts. Carol responded that at this time no, only Morrow Bay.
July is dark
August is dark. Carol told the members there is the possibly of camping at Foster Park in Ojai but no commitment there yet. She asked members to email her any suggestions, recommendations for an August campout, or any other future camping location ideas.
September 4 & 5: Serrano Campground, Snowberry RV Loop in Big Bear. We will need to make reservations on our own in March. Carol will advise further as we get closer to March 2020.
October TBD: Golden Shore RV Resort, Long Beach.
